Heather White

Heather was born in the land of movie and music magic, Burbank, California. Shortly after, she moved to Washington state and was raised in the Seattle area. Heather started her dance journey at eight years old and fell in love with being on stage. She started competing in dance at the age of 12, learning very quickly how much she loved the competitive nature of the sport.

At age 15, Heather started teaching as an assistant This is the moment when she found her true calling. After graduating high school, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in teaching dance. Her greatest feeling of accomplishment comes from being able to mentor and inspire young children and teenagers. Heather wants them to be strong role models themselves and push themselves to their fullest potential, not just in dance, but in life as well.

Heather’s students have gone on to win both regionally and nationally in the competitive dance circuit. With a focus on the fundamental of dance (no matter what style it may be), she proceeds to give the very best to each one of her students.

With over 18 years of dance teaching experience, Heather knew it was time to take the next step and recruit a group of like-minded instructors that see her vision. It is very exciting to take on this next role as “Studio Owner”. While this new role will be challenging, Heather will still be able to teach and mentor a strong and competitive new group of eager dancers. She is very excited to bring you The Company.

Madison Altamirano

Madison Altamirano was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she began her dance training at the ripe old age of 2 continuing through her senior year of high school. At 14, Madison began a performing arts dance program through a non-profit and gained her first experience of teaching and choreographing dance. It is there that she began to find a new passion within her training- teaching, creating, and seeing her choreography performed internationally and on stages in front of tens of thousands of people.

After high school, Madison attended New York University, majoring in biochemistry and women’s gender studies while also continuing to study dance. After 2+ years in New York, Madison moved back to California where she continued to dance with Coterie Dance Company under the direction of Kimberly Valmore while also coaching a college dance team and teaching at various competitive studios.

For the past decade, Madison has called the PNW home and has found her stride as a teacher. She has over 20 years of teaching experience specializing in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, ballet & technique.

While Madison has experienced many accolades as a choreographer, her real passion is seeing kids grow and shine through the art of dance. Her main goal is to create a safe, loving & passionate environment for kids to explore their inner artist, learn life lessons, and, ultimately, thrive! Madison is excited to be joining The Company Space for its inaugural season!

Avery Gardner

Hip Hop

Avery Gardner is a Seattle-based dancer, choreographer, and educator with over fifteen years of movement experience. Avery uses a fusion of  Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and choreography-based styles.

Avery has choreographed and danced on a number of Seattle’s largest platforms: performing behind Ciara 2015 WeDay; Sol at Macklemore’s 2017 Gemini Tour stop at Key Arena; choreographed and danced for Sol at Bumbershoot and Capitol Hill Block Party in 2019; choreographed and performed in Dope Girl Movement’s 2023 & 2024 Bumbershoot performances. Avery was also a Seattle Seahawks dancer for two seasons.

He is the founder of The Garden, his own training company through which he has produced original shows and cultivated community for the past four years. A dedicated educator, Avery currently teaches and coaches at The Company Space, Spectrum Dance Theater, Olympic Ballet School, Emerald City Dance Complex, and a summer teacher at Pacific Northwest Ballet.

A University of Washington graduate with a degree in Comparative History, Avery’s studies focused on human rights, collective memory, art, and culture. These experiences continue to influence his work today.

Alanna Chaytor-Wolf

Alanna is a performer and choreographer with over 30 years of dance training. She grew up in Connecticut and started dancing at the age of 3. Although dance has been her primary focus, Alanna also trained as a professional singer and model. In her early years, she worked as a model for Ralph Lauren, appearing in print and commercials. As a dancer, she has appeared in music videos as a back-up dancer for up-and-coming artists and performed at live venues in New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

As a choreographer, Alanna has enjoyed success at both the regional and national levels, her students receiving top honors and she herself has won choreography awards. Alanna specializes in lyrical dance, however, she is well-versed in jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, acro, and musical theater. She prides herself on accentuating strengths and watching them mature as performers.

Debbie Campbell

Miss Deb was born and raised in Western Washington, where she began her dance training at 9 years old. As a young lady, she trained primarily in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, and Jazz. She completed all classical ballet exams with Dance Educators of America, earning the highest scores possible.

In the late 1980’s, she went on to be part of a competitive break dance squad, which projected her into high school dance, where she became a member of the nationally recognized dance team, The Kentridge Chatelaines. She continued to train at dance intensives and conventions, earning scholarships and awards throughout high school and into her adult life.

While attending college at WSU, Miss Deb was a member of the Washington State University dance team during its inaugural year. This team later became known as the Crimson Girls. Upon college graduation, she earned her BA in Hospitality Management with a minor in Marketing, and proceeded to take a job with the Walt Disney Company in Anaheim, California.

After spending much of her young adult life in career jobs, like Disney, Starbucks, Tully’s Coffee, and Red Robin, it was time for her to settle down. Deb began a family and became a preschool teacher, a job she has loved for the past thirteen years.

Throughout her adult life, Miss Deb continued to train in classical ballet, pointe, tap and jazz, and danced with a company well into her forties. During this time Deb also found that her love of dance could be transmitted not only through her own children, but through many other children as well. She began teaching dance 15 years ago, and over the past decade has found true meaning in sharing her love for dance with others.

Miss Deb is all about basic technique and fundamentals, and she loves seeing the “ah-ha” moments when a child finally understands a move, skill, or step. Her goal is to create a safe and loving, structured environment for dancers who are beginning their dance trajectory.

Currently Miss Deb works at the library in the Dieringer School District, working with many different students. She is married and has three daughters. She is very excited about this new journey with The Company Space and can’t wait to share her passion for dance with others.

Margarita Armas

Margarita Armas is from Miami, Florida and was raised in a large Peruvian community that celebrated the many art forms of Peruvian culture, including dance. Throughout her childhood she learned dances of Northern and Southern Peru andparticipated in traditional dance competitions. Margarita’s parents are trained dancers and inspired her passion for her Peruvian culture and love of dance, training her in traditional dances including Marinera Norteña. She began her ballet education at Artistic Dance Center and Miami City Ballet School. At age 15, Margarita was selected by Miami City Ballet Company to perform in the company’s 2015/2016 season, including their tour to New York City and Chicago. 

In 2018 she was the recipient of the Silver Award in the YoungArts Ballet Category and upon joining Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Professional Division program, was nominated by the company for a Princess Grace Foundation USA Dance Award for her talent and potential to impact the art form. The following year, she choreographed at The Guggenheim Museum in New York City for a collaboration with Dance Lab New York and The Joyce Theater, “Female Choreographers of Color in Ballet”. In 2021, during her final year as a Professional Division student, she choreographed a digital work for Pacific Northwest Ballet’s 2020/2021 season which explored her cultural identity in collaboration with members of the Kuyayky Foundation and Harvard Professor Dr. Américo Mendoza-Mori (Faculty Director of Latinx Studies Working Group) in the implementation of the Quechua language. 

Margarita received two commissions from Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez for Miami City Ballet. She created a solo, Geta, for the company’s 2022 tour to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and new work titled Analogo in February 2024 as part of Miami City Ballet’s Winter Mix concert, alongside Alexei Ratmansky’s Concerto DSCH and George Balanchine’s Firebird. Margarita is continuing to pursue her career as a freelance choreographer and ballet instructor in Seattle, WA.

Ema Morgovsky

Ema Morgovsky has been dancing since she was just 3 years old!! She and has always specialized in ballroom, and has competed and trained in both the Latin and Standard styles, with some training in American Rhythm and Smooth.

Ema has been in major Youth, U21, and Amateur finals across the country in the International Latin style, including NYDF, Tri-State, Paragon, Dessert Classic, and she is 2x Eastern United Vice Champions. One of her biggest accomplishments is winning the 2023 USA youth pre-Champ title.

Along with her own competitive syllabus and open level career, Ema has taught students ranging from 3 years old to 85+ to achieve their goals in ballroom dancing! Ema strives to create a classroom environment of discipline, laughter, and constant improvement. She prioritizes creating a fundamental understanding of ballroom technique and coordination in all her students. 

She LOVES all the wonderful kids at TCS, and sees the importance and value of adding ballroom dance to their diverse and competitive portfolio. 

Lacey Lemon

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Lacey Lemon is a dynamic dance artist specializing in rhythm tap and hip hop. She began her training at Northwest Tap Connection Dance Studio, where she developed a strong foundation in a variety of styles, including tap, modern, ballet, house, and hip hop.

As a teaching tap artist, she brings both technical expertise and an encouraging, high-energy approach to the classroom, helping students build confidence, musicality, and a love for the art form.

Lacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Seattle University and is passionate about creating a positive, empowering environment for dancers of all levels.

In addition to teaching, Lacey continues to expand her artistry through advanced training with professional dance companies such as Kollective8, The Garden Dance Company, and Cameron Lee’s Potion Dance Company. Her performance experience includes sharing the stage with the internationally acclaimed all-female tap band Chloe Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies and performing at renowned Seattle venues including the Paramount Theatre, Moore Theatre, and Climate Pledge Arena.

Mikaela Rabago

Mikaela Rabago, born and raised in Seattle, where she discovered her love for dance at age 5 and began competing at 8. She trained in a variety of styles, including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, ballet, and ballroom, laying the foundation for her versatile and dynamic style. She continued to compete throughout her teenage years and graduated from The Company Space in 2022, where she had honed her skills as a dedicated, disciplined, and driven dancer.

Mikaela graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Washington in March 2025, with a focus on marketing and a minor in business data analytics. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics, with plans to graduate in 2026. 

Despite her academic focus, Mikaela has always kept dance at the forefront, teaching recreational classes and managing The Company Space’s social media account. As well as training and performing with The Garden Dance Company. She has performed at events, such as The Garden Dance Company’s end of year show Beautiful Moments, as well as No Flex Zone, Soulout Showcase, House Party Promo Video, “Walk, Don’t Run” for Seattle Art Museum, and Bumbershoot with Dope Girl Movement—events that have allowed her to showcase her passion for dance and continue to evolve as an artist. 

She is excited to share her love for dance with the next generation, focusing not only on technical skill but on fostering creativity and self-expression. Watching her students gain confidence and find joy in movement is her greatest achievement. She is excited to cultivate a space where students of all ages can discover the gratification and fulfillment that comes with learning and moving. Mikaela is committed to creating a nurturing environment where students can take risks, discover their potential and deepen their love for dance.


Kate Monthy

Kate Monthy is a Tacoma native whose career has taken her across the United States and abroad as both a dancer and educator. She began her classical ballet training at Tacoma City Ballet under Jan Collum and Erin Ceragioli, later advancing her studies through Boston Ballet’s Summer Intensives and at Rosella Hightower’s École Supérieure de Danse in Cannes, France. While earning her Bachelor of Arts at Pacific Lutheran University, she simultaneously trained and performed in Tacoma City Ballet’s professional division.

Her professional dance credits include company member with Zoe | Juniper, Eryc Taylor Dance Company (New York City), and Spectrum Dance Theater, where she worked with renowned choreographers including Donald Byrd, Olivier Wevers, Cyrus Khambatta, Julie Tobiason, Eva Stone and The 5th Avenue Theatre. With Spectrum, she toured nationally and internationally as part of DanceMotion USA and has performed at prestigious venues and festivals such as Jacob’s Pillow, The Joyce Theater, Guggenheim Museum Theater, On the Boards, Bumbershoot, Chop Shop, Seattle International Dance Festival, and Summer Stages NYC.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Kate has served on faculty at Harbor Dance, Tacoma City Ballet, Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma, Image Studio of Dance, Spectrum Dance Theater School, Tacoma School of the Arts, and Eatonville Dance Studio. She is currently the Ballet Director at Harbor Dance and Artistic Director of the Harbor Dance Ballet Company. 

Kate is passionate about developing strong, versatile technicians while nurturing artistry and self-expression in every dancer she teaches.

Toby Scott

Tumbling

Competitive History:

Toby Scott grew up training in gymnastics through age 17. After gymnastics, he competed diving senior year of high school, then competed 3 years of all star cheer, went to world championships twice. He then started trampoline and tumbling at age 24, still currently competing! 6 national championship event titles so far through years 2022-2024.

Coaching History:

Toby started coaching competitive gymnastics at age 17, coached 9 seasons in Colorado, moved to WA in 2021, this year going into my 16th competitive season. He has coached tumbling and stunting lessons with gymnasts and cheerleaders for many years and have loved starting to work with dancers with their acro over the last couple of years. He loves the creativity and variety of how they incorporate tumbling into their dances. It’s a fun challenge for him to adapt to their choreographic needs.

Toby has his Bachelors and Masters degree in Exercise Science. He also has 3 specialized personal training certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Certified Speed Specialist.
